Shengzhou City, which is located in the east of Zhejiang Province of China, is an international city of tie enjoying the title of “Kingdom of Tie”. As the largest tie manufacturing center in the world, it is famous for the tie industry cluster, which echoes with its counterpart in Como, Italy. Shengzhou city covers an area of 1784 sqm. It has seen over 1100 tie enterprises established since the first one in 1984. Over 150,000 people are working in tie industry and yielding 500 million pieces of tie annually with a turnover of 8 bn RMB. The total production accounts for 55% of international market and 90% of the domestic. Meanwhile over 30 foreign tie enterprises and supporting enterprises have started their business here, bringing the title “International City of Tie”, as named by the Zhengjiang Provincial Government.
